Hello Lovelies! Today's video is a super simple DIY that I've been itching to do for a really really long time. I have been coveting a pair of patent faux leather shoes for absolutely ages but unfortunately my budget does not allow for a new pair of shoes at the moment. I have found a work around (however temporary) but it's still satisfying to have a pair of shiny black shoes that somewhat resemble patent black shoes and I am so happy to share it with you! These shoes have made guest appearances in a few of my outfit posts and after hinting about them (here and here), I have finally uploaded the DIY! Hope you enjoy!
After a month of chaos, I finally got time off this weekend to just chill out and lounge around and it was the most relaxing and casual weekend in such a long time. There's something about a lazy Sunday that I just absolutely love, and living on my couch for two days doing absolutely nothing was so satisfying, I just had to share it with you all.
I very much miss Korea and editing this haul made me miss it even more. If you want to see awkward jump cuts and me failing miserably to construct a coherent sentence click the play button and let me know what you think in the comments! I'll be eating kimchi on my sofa while listening to kpop, reminiscing about all of the Korean BBQ that I had on that trip. Cue gentle sobbing noises.

I absolutely love how these photos turned out. I think that if I had never pursued theater, I would have gone into photography. Something about catching the perfect lighting and framing the subject in just the right way is so exhilarating. Maybe if photography was never digitized I would have stuck with it longer. One of the reasons why I don't think it's the perfect path for me to go down career wise is because I obsess over images. These photos made me proud, right out of the camera, but now with photoshop at my disposal, I strive for that perfect image that I have in my head and I won't stop until it translates on the screen (or until my eyes feel like they're going to fall out of my skull).
I mean they still didn't turn out exactly the way I wanted to, but they're definitely a step in the right direction. This is probably the closest I'll ever get to capturing what inspiration is to me. Capturing that feeling of being right on the edge of something absolutely brilliant taking shape, and knowing that it chose you to take along for the ride.
And then of course while I was fooling around I had to take a Kim K-esque photo because these jeans are the only thing that make me kind of have a butt. That and yoga pants, though I don't personally own any. Anything that you're proud of that you'd like to share? I'd love to know so leave it in the comments!
Hello Lovelies! Today's post ended a bit long due to all of the images that made the cut but I do love the way that they all turned out. If you want to see for yourself, check them out after the jump.
Hello Lovelies! Today's video is a little different from my previous ones because it's my first DIY. I am a big fan of making things and after trying to find the perfect scarf (with little luck) I finally decided to take matters into my own hands and make my own. This scarf now an absolute staple in my wardrobe and the fact that it doubles as a blanket just takes the cake for me. It is the perfect item for travel, especially for those long haul flights that lack comfort in pretty much every way possible. When I have a nice and homey blanket for 13+ hours, I am much happier to be sitting next to smelly strangers and crying babies (if only slightly). So let me know if you like this DIY and definitely let me know if you decide to make one of your own!
Hello lovely internet people! I had an outfit photo that I wanted to upload, but because it was a spur of the moment photo shoot, I am sans makeup and the lot of photos was pretty much unusable. I had actually originally taken the image for instagram so all of the photoset is me in the same pose. Uploading a bunch of photos of me just standing and looking the camera straight in the lens with no makeup on is too mortifying for me to even think about, so I decided to take a gif from a future video and combine it with the outfit photo to make a Frankenstein-esque post. They are two things that shouldn't have made it into a blog post but miraculously did. Like two halves that made a whole. I hope that makes as much sense out loud as it does in my brain.

I may do a reshoot of this outfit if I can find the time to. It's finally warming up in Hong Kong which means that soon I'll be able to get away with wearing stuff like this outside of the comfort of my heated home. I'm hoping that these past few days of warm weather aren't just taunting me, though in the past we have had random warm days and then just crap cold weather the rest of the time. Fingers crossed!

I can't wait to show you the stuff I have prepped for the month, though it's my busiest month yet. Midterms are coming up and I am not prepared in the least... In happier news, this is the first gif that I have ever made and I am very proud to show you all. If you think you can guess what the video is going to be about from this very obscure hint, take a guess in the comments!
Hello Lovelies! Coming at you with another Music Monday. After a very brief and far too short visit to Korea, I am absolutely enamored. Something about the way the city is laid out reminds me of California and it was one of the most refreshing and inviting trips I have ever been on. I think it was the sense of familiarity combined with the anticipation that made this trip just something else entirely. Five days was not enough and now I miss Seoul in a way that I never thought I could miss a place that I've only been to once. This fleeting glimpse of a culture has left me in wanderlust and I want to go back as quickly as I can. In the mean time, I will be listening to this playlist, trying to figure out how I can stow away on a plane back to Incheon airport so that I can just live in Korea forever.
Admittedly, some of these songs are from a Korean drama that I just finished watching. Whoever picked out the songs for that drama needs an award because the music matched the tone of the drama so amazingly and added so much to the performance. If you want to check it out, the drama is called "It's Okay, That's Love" and just be ready for the water works. I absolutely loved the way that the drama handled the subject of mental illness and brought to light the social stigma surrounding it. Let me know if you watch it, if you've watched it, or any other dramas you absolutely love! I need more fictional characters' lives to get wrapped up in.
Leave your music recommendations down below as well! I'd love to hear what you've all been listening to this month.
